CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
This past weekend I spent ALL of my time preparing for my best friends wedding. Friday I slaved over the reception, kept everyone sane, and somehow it all fell into place. After hours of working it was done, and time for the rehearsal. I rushed home to put on some more appropriate attire, so I could take pictures at the rehearsal. You are probably thinking, you said she was your best friend?, why aren't you in the wedding? Well, to make a long story short, I was going to be in the wedding, but plans changed. Originally, the reasons I wasn't going to be in the wedding were due to different feelings. On Friday, I realized that there was a bigger plan. I think that God intended for me not to be in it. Because if I were, who would have kept everything in order, and everyone sane? Even though I wasn't the Maid of Honor as was originally planned, I was rewarded greatly on their wedding day. I had the opportunity to spend LOTS of time with the bride, my best friend. On the way to her hair appointment that morning at 9:00 am. satan tried to start my day off on the wrong foot. To steal the day. I got rear-ended on the way to her appointment. I was extremely shaken up, but thankfully, God had His hand of protection over me & my car! I walked away with no injuries and not a single scratch on my bumper. After she got her hair done, we drove back to the church, (behind a grandpa going 20 the whoooooolllleeee way), where I was given the privilege of doing her makeup. The most special and rewarding moment for me was getting to help her get into her dress, put on her shoes, and garter. My best friend, was the most beautiful bride ever! The wedding was beautiful and simple, which is exactly how she wanted it. Following the wedding, I rushed to fix her bustle and to make sure that the reception was still going as planned. All in all, everything worked out according to plan. God is so good. Here a few of my favorite photos from the day.
